Ay Up Mi Ducks

Ay up mi ducks,

This is our first blog post. These blogs are basically here to satisfy our own egos, but they may also serve to inform you about what we’ve been up to and what we’ve got planned for the future.

So, what have we been up to?

Well, we played a lovely little gig supporting the lovely ‘Laura Stevenson’ and 2 members of ‘Ducking Punches’ at the Waterfall in Derby on the 11th April. I mean, we’ve played loads of great gigs so far, but this one is up there as one of our favourites. Such a good evening! Special thanks goes out to Derby DIY Collective for asking us to play!

We also had the privilege of performing 'Baby Steps' live in Derby City Centre (more specifically by 'The Ram') for the Sally Pepper show on BBC Radio Derby. We were completely unplugged, Tom just had a tambourine and a maraca, I messed up a bit on guitar but we had a lovely group of friends watching and taking photos.

I need to mention that we met the Chuckle Brothers in April too... in Skegness of all places. How could I not mention that? Highlight of the year? Highlight of our lives more like!

And now, we're just gearing up for our first gig at The Rescue Rooms in Nottingham, an A+R showcase at The Victoria Inn, Derby, The Furthest From The Sea Festival 2014 in Derby and Y Not Festival in August.

Oh yeah, and we're getting ready to record our new EP... so, you know... keep an eye out for that!

Until then... See ya.
